New Ulm Precision Tool, Inc. is a leader in the design and fabrication of quality tool and die products, workholding fixtures and custom machines. We are committed to putting customers first, producing quality custom tooling, and providing top-notch support.
The company was founded in 1974 and is located in a 12,000 sq. ft. facility in New Ulm, Minnesota. To accommodate growth over the years, we moved to a new facility that has since been expanded to 20,000 sq. ft.
In the early years, New Ulm Precision Tool was known for designing and building close tolerance stamping dies, then expanded into workholding fixtures in the ’80s. Today, we are a leader in the design and fabrication of quality tool and die products, workholding fixtures and custom machines.
In the spring of 2007, New Ulm Precision Tool became a division of Specialty Mfg. Co., a pioneer in engineering and custom solutions.

Workholding Fixtures
Custom designed and built manual and hydraulic fixtures for vertical and horizontal machining centers for use across a wide variety of applications.
Progressive & Compound Dies
Specializing in Class “AA,” “A,” and “B” dies designed and built to close tolerances. We also design and build dies using carbide inserts or solid carbide sections.
Tool Crib Replacement Parts
We are an experienced manufacturer of custom, made-to-print parts for molds, dies, automated machines, assembly machines, and machined parts for prototype assemblies.
Custom Machines
We work closely with you to design and build custom material removal and assembly machines, from simple single-station machines to complex machinery.
Production Machining
Low- and medium-production machining using CNC, EDM, and other operations. We also do high-precision machining runs for progressive dies and plastic injection molds.
